different take on my 'night before christmas' illustration. added a bigger vertical and a little st. nick action on a suggestion. still working on it, but it's bedtime.

the best part of being an applegeeks fan, is that on occasion, hawk will post up some clean lineart for you to color. and while i'm not very good, i like to practice. kudos to hawk's sweet pencils.

illustration friday - 'i spy...'

i spent last night in pChat with my friend rachel. we doodled awhile, but i got attached to my spygal and couldn't let her go. had some fun with this since it's my illustration friday piece. she would have had feet, except for the person below me...who was taking up all the space. on the sillier side, rachel drew me a pirate wench while we were sketchin'. she knows my weakness!

he's got alot of stuff that needs fixin' and touch ups are gonna be grueling. but this is my redone 'dirty harry' airbrush illustration. the first one was just too damn happy.

mike's character 'moth' from CG1. we were bored today so we did a quick sketch swap of our respective toons. i'd say my moth is very crazy.

partial idea for a CG2 poster. the thought being designers depend on the why and how, instead of what they feel...making us more like robots? copic marker & rapidograph pen/30 min.

who isn't doing frank miller fan arts these days? quick n' dirty. ink and watercolor/1 hr.

revisited the doodle with a few touches in photoshop. pretty pleased with the overall result. still, next time i think i'll plan out my values more carefully so that i can end up with a portfolio piece.

2nd set of revisions; although the barrel looks a bit wobbly, it's now the most powerful handgun in the world and he looks more clint.

this will be an airbrush illustration by next week, but this is the rough idea i'll be working from. we were supposed to take an older movie, pick a particularly dramatic, memorable moment, and then turn the characters into animals. i picked 'dirty harry'. the top one was my original rough comp, the bottom is a midway point in the revisions.
